Andrew Bell

Andrew’s painting is based on landscape found locally in the Blackdown Hills and on visits to Wales and France, and occasionally further afield. He works from sketches done on the spot, making pictures mainly in acrylic on paper, or in oil, building up thin layers of colours to preserve luminosity. He sometimes adds charcoal or ink.

His latest works were done after a visit to Italy, France, New Zealand and Canada in 2017.
