Pauline Rook

Photography has been Pauline's means of artistic expression since childhood. She loves taking photographs and studying and practising in photography has opened and continues to open up the world to her. She has never lost the excitement of seeing and then taking a good picture.

Her photographic education took place at Dillington House under the inspired teaching of Ron Frampton, achieving Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).

Pauline's training was essentially darkroom based. She now sees that it was a wonderful preparation for the switch over to digital technology, which she now fully embraces.
Digital post processing has opened up many new avenues for me to explore and the learning never stops. Pauline's latest cameras can take pictures in conditions that were only dreamed of before. She is very much a dark season and dark place image maker now.
